Star Trek Discovery Adds New Trailer and Character Promos

The latest trailer for Star Trek: Discovery has new footage and more on Jason Isaacs’ Captain Lorca.

CBS All Access’ new Star Trek series stars Sonequa Martin-Green in the lead as First Officer Michael Burnham. Beaming alongside the Walking Dead actress and the Harry Potter star are Michelle Yeoh, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Shazad Latif, Mary Wiseman, James Frain as Ambassador Sarek and Rainn Wilson as Harry Mudd.

Star Trek: Discovery takes place a decade before the adventures of Kirk, Spock and Bones (and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise) in The Original Series, and will focus on the Federation’s war with those re-designed Klingons (though the jury's still out on that new design, we're looking forward to the series nonetheless).

We get to see more of the Discovery's captain in the new trailer, and to whet our appetite for the upcoming series, a bunch of cool character teasers have also been released. Check them out:

Star Trek: Discovery will premiere September 24 on CBS, before shifting to CBS All Access for the show’s first season 15-episode run.
